In the round of 16, the Netherlands completely dominated the pitch, winning 3-0 against Romania. Cody Gakpo scored the opening goal, and then Donyell Malen hit the net twice.
The Netherlands started the group stage by defeating Poland 2-1 in a comeback win. In the second round, they played 0-0 against France and then lost 3-2 to Austria, which put them in third place in the group, but they still managed to find their way to the semifinal.

For the second consecutive game, England had to do a miracle to advance to the next round of the competition. Again, they allowed Switzerland to score first, and that was pretty late in the game, in the 75th minute. England found themselves with their backs against the wall, but Bukayo Saka scored an amazing goal from outside the box to send the game into extra time. No team scored there, and Jordan Pickford made the difference by saving the first shot in the penalty series.
England’s round of 16 match had a similar scenario. Slovakia took the lead, Jade Bellingham scored in stoppage time, and Harry Kane set the final 2-1 score in the first minute of extra time.
England won only one game in the group stage, beating Serbia 1-0 on the opening matchday. Then they played 1-1 against Denmark and 0-0 against Slovenia.
England has four wins, five draws, and one loss in the last ten games. Their last six games have ended under 2.5 goals in regulation.
Netherlands vs England: Head to Head

France has one of the best rosters in the tournament, but they managed to score only one goal by themselves, and luck played a major role on their road to the semifinals. Kylian Mbappe is still struggling after the nose injuries, and even though he is very active on the pitch, it is obvious that he is not on a recognizable level. France in general plays well; they create scoring opportunities, but converting them into goals has been a major issue so far in the tournament.
Spain, on the other hand, is playing excellently, and their young team is confident that they can beat anybody, which they proved by eliminating the host nation, Germany, in the quarterfinals. Spain is very aggressive and makes a quick transition from defense into offense. They have multiple scoring options up front and are the favorites to win this one. France will be a huge obstacle as they are expected to pick up their game, but Spain is the team that will advance to the final regardless of whether they need extra time or penalties to do that.
