Houston Rockets vs Golden State Warriors: Current situation
This recent 6-game losing streak has cast a shadow over all the good things Ime Udoka and his Houston Rockets have done in the first 2 months of the season. Thankfully the Rockets were able to bounce back with a much needed win over Toronto on Sunday, but there is still work left to be done before the All-Star break. Right now they have Jabari Smith Jr. and Fred VanVleet out with injuries, while center Alperen Sengun is questionable with a back problem.
At 2-0 in the Jimmy Butler era, the Warriors fans are feeling themselves right now. The veteran shooting guard has fit in perfectly in the two games with his new team and if this continues to be the case then Golden State might just pull out one last title run out of Stephen Curry. Both the offense and defense have looked stellar in the wins over Milwaukee and Chicago, considering how the last two meetings with Houston went, the Warriors will need to get timely stops in this game to win.
Houston Rockets Stats & Form
It’s not often we see the Rockets win a game in which they score just 94 points, but that’s exactly what happened in their Sunday win over Toronto. Alperen Sengun left the game after just 3 minutes, while Amen Thompson had one of his worst showings all year long with just 8 points. It was a gutsy win for the young Rockets who held Toronto to just 36% shooting from the field and 19% from three.
Golden State Warriors Stats & Form
Defense was also the main catalyst for the Warriors in their last 2 wins as they held the Bucks and Bulls to exactly 111 points. Stephen Curry looked 5 years younger in those 2 wins, that happens when you inject a player of Jimmy Butler’s quality into a team that’s struggled to maintain a .500 record for most of this season. Golden State remains one of the more consistent road teams this season, they are 14-11 ATS in 25 away games.
Houston Rockets vs Golden State Warriors: Head-to-Head
The Warriors and Rockets have played each other a total of 236 times in the NBA regular season, Houston has the edge in wins with 127 to 109. However, Golden State has dominated this match-up dating back to the 2020-21 season winning 15 of the last 16 meetings. Houston’s win in the most recent meeting ended a 15-game losing streak for them in head-to-head meetings.

Betting tip and prediction: Houston Rockets vs Golden State Warriors (13.02.2025)
Facing a team like the Raptors is exactly what these Rockets needed following a winless run of 6 games. However, now they face a much tougher challenge in the Warriors, a team that’s pretty much owned them for the better part of this decade. In 2 games with Jimmy Butler, Stephen Curry is averaging 36 points per game while shooting 51.2% from the field and almost 44% from three-point land on 7 makes a night. With Butler locking down the opponents best player on most nights, the Warriors have a bit of breathing room on that end of the floor which hasn’t been the case earlier this season. Not only that, Butler’s post game is also a threat and it takes away some of the opponent’s focus off of Stephen Curry. Playing at home should give the Rockets a bit of a boost here, but if they are once again without center Alperen Sengun we are afraid this might be a wrap for them. The talented center leads the team in rebounding, while also being their 2nd leading scorer behind Jalen Green. Green is putting up numbers this month, but his efficiency has plummeted across the board. The youngster doesn’t match-up well against Jimmy Butler here, don’t be surprised if he has a bad game. We are picking the Golden State Warriors in this one.
