Despite being the underdogs here, we feel like this is Philadelphia’s game to lose. Joel Embiid is likely returning to the line-up as his knee swelling isn’t a major issue like it was in the first 2 months of the season. With proper treatment the big fella might just be able to play normally in the next couple of months of the regular season + the playoffs, if the 76ers get there. Pressure is obviously on Philly here as they are still chasing a play-in tournament spot, getting a win against a team that’s directly above them would do wonders for their confidence levels. Tyrese Maxey has played his heart out over the past 7 games going over 30 points in each of them, he had 28 in the last meeting between the two teams which Philadelphia won convincingly 111-96 at Detroit. Cade Cunningham is the only player the Sixers have to worry about here and with Paul George likely playing it could be a dog fight on the perimeter between him and Cunningham. The Pistons will miss the services of former Sixer Tobias Harris here, he has played a major role in their success this season. His defense is often underrated, for a team that ranks just 27th in opponent three-point efficiency, losing a player like him is difficult to overcome.
