This will be a 2nd night of a back-to-back for the Celtics as they face the Clippers the night before at the Intuit Dome. So can the Lakers take full advantage of one extra day of rest here? LeBron James will certainly benefit from the rest, but at 40-years old he may struggle to keep up with the younger legs of the Celtics even if LA doesn’t play the day before this game. Boston appears to have turned the corner with that win at Golden State the other day. The only reason why they have struggled a bit to start January was their three-point shooting, but with them shooting 38% over their last 3 games that appears to have been fixed. Boston should also be at full strength here, which means they will rely on Al Horford and Kristaps Porzingis on the inside. As good as Anthony Davis has been this season, he could run into issues trying to guard the versatility of Porzingis here. The Celtics are at their best when they have the 7-foot-3 Latvian stepping out to the perimeter and knocking down threes. Guarding the three-point line has been a struggle for LA all year long, they are only 19th in opponent three-point percentage.
