Miami Heat vs Phoenix Suns: Current situation
Right now the Miami Heat find themselves in 7th place in the Eastern Conference with a 10-10 record after 20 games played. Being in the weaker Eastern Conference means that they could make the postseason even with a losing record, but this team is hungry for far more than just making the playoffs. Jimmy Butler is in the final year of his contract, we could be witnessing his final run towards a championship as a Miami Heat player.
Speaking of championship runs, the Phoenix Suns are hoping they are on one as well. However, injuries to Kevin Durant have really slowed them down, their offensive production with him off the floor is significantly worse compared to when he plays. Both he and Jusuf Nurkic are expected to come back in a week or so, when that happens the Suns will once again be a force in the Western Conference.
Miami Heat Stats & Form
After back-to-back losses to Toronto and Boston, facing a team like the Lakers is exactly what this Miami Heat team needed. Tyler Herro exploded for 31 points, including 9 threes as the Heat went on to win 134-93 to end the mini 2-game skid. Despite all the flaws they showed in the first month and a half of the season, their form has slowly picked up and they’re now 4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games. More importantly, the injury report is empty for Miami which is a rarity hese days in the NBA.
Phoenix Suns Stats & Form
Phoenix is currently going through a lot on the injury front with Kevin Durant and Jusuf Nurkic out. Although they were able to put up 124 points on the Pelicans in their last game, it wasn’t enough as they lost by 2 points to a team that was on a 9-game losing streak. That wasn’t a good look for Mike Budenholzer and his team, they’re looking to bounce back against Miami here.
Miami Heat vs Phoenix Suns: Head-to-Head
Phoenix won 115-112 when these two teams met earlier this season, however they were powered by Kevin Durant in that game as he had a team high 32 points. Over the last 10 meetings the Suns have had more success going 7-3 ATS/SU, interestingly enough they’ve covered the spread in their last 6 visits to Phoenix as well.
Miami Heat – Phoenix Suns Odds
Going for a 3rd home win in a row for Miami you can get 8/11 odds, while if you fancy Phoenix to pull off the upset odds of 13/8 are available.
The point total has been set at 220.5 points, with odds of 10/11 supporting either the over or the under.

Betting tip and prediction: Miami Heat vs Phoenix Suns (07.12.2024)
Optimism is back among the Miami Heat ranks after their dominant win over the Lakers. They’ll be seeking revenge here for their defeat to the Suns earlier this season, playing at home should give them a solid chance of evening the regular season series. Although they are 5-4 on the season at the Kaseya Center, they’ve won their last 2 games there and are 4-1 ATS/SU in their last 5. The Suns’ biggest issue is the absence of Kevin Durant. After returning from a calf issue, it took KD just 2 games to re-injure himself and he’s been ruled out for at least a week with a sprained ankle. That resulted in a embarrassing 126-124 loss to the New Orleans Pelicans on Thursday night, a team that won just 2 of 20 games before playing the Suns. There’s also a lack of presence on the inside for Phoenix with Jusuf Nurkic being out, so look for Bam Adebayo to feast on the glass in this game. Miami also has the edge in three-point defense, with opponents making just 32.1% of their attempts over their last 3 games. Until Durant comes back we would advise you to stay away from backing Phoenix. Go with Miami to win and even the regular season series here.
