Friday’s game between the two teams went down the wire, it is to be expected that Sunday’s game will have a similar ending. This is just a bad match-up for the Nets who have lost 7 straight games to the Knicks, although some of those games have had close endings, this team simply does not have a player that can carry them in the clutch. The Knicks have to clean up their three-point defense here, they’re allowing 15.7 threes per game in their last 3 outings, if Brooklyn gets hot early things could go in the wrong direction very easily. Karl-Anthony Towns is a game-time decision, but the Knicks didn’t have him on Friday and they were still able to win this match-up. Jalen Brunson had his way with Schroder on the offensive end, torching him for 37 points and the game winning three. He is averaging 26 points per game in the last 5 meetings, while in the last 3 of 4 he has dropped at least 30 on the Nets.
