Following a two-week international break, domestic football returns this weekend with some huge games taking place in the Premier League. First up is the biggest game of the weekend as Liverpool host Manchester United at Anfield in the Red Devils first big test of the season. That is just one of the games that will feature in this 4-fold bet with all of the odds provided by Ladbrokes and accurate at the time of writing.
Liverpool v Manchester United
These two teams come into this game on a vastly different run of form; Liverpool have won just one of their last four games, whilst Manchester United are unbeaten in the league, winning six of their seven matches so far this season. Both of the games between these two sides ended in draws last season and Jose Mourinho has a habit of setting his side up to avoid losing rather than aiming to win these games and I think that will be the case again this Saturday.
Draw – 23/10
Crystal Palace v Chelsea
Crystal Palace are setting all sorts of records this season; seven games played, no goals scored and 17 conceded. Things have to change soon for Palace, but I can’t see that happening this weekend against a Chelsea team who are looking to get back on track following their 1-0 defeat to Manchester City last time out. Even without Alvaro Morata, I think Chelsea have far too much for Crystal Palace in this one and it’s hard to look past a comfortable victory for the Blues.
Chelsea – 4/11
Swansea v Huddersfield
Swansea have struggled so far this season, winning just one of their first seven games and Paul Clement’s side are on a run of three losses from their last four games. This weekend they come up against a Huddersfield Town side who started the season exceptionally well, but are starting to slide down the table. I fancy Swansea to win this one and I think Huddersfield Town will continue to slide down the table towards relegation trouble.
Swansea – 21/20
Watford v Arsenal
Watford have been impressive this season, performing far and away above expectations under Marco Silva. They find themselves just one point behind Saturday’s opponents Arsenal and I think we could be in for a tight game in this one. Arsenal appear to have gotten over their tough start to the season, winning three of their last four games and I think they will take all three points in this one.
Arsenal – 4/7
