Tennis Betting Tips: ATP Tour Shanghai Masters

In the first Masters event since the US Open, many of the world’s top players arrive in Shanghai looking to secure ranking points in the build up to the ATP World Tour finals in London next month. Fresh from his US Open victory, Rafael Nadal heads up the field with Roger Federer leading the chasing pack behind the Mallorcan world number 1.

Outright Betting

In the absence of Djokovic, Murray, Wawrinka, Nishikori and Raonic, Federer and Nadal continue to headline the draws on the ATP Tour but the next generation of Zverev, Kyrgios, Thiem and Dimitrov look set to challenge the established order in men’s tennis.

Here are some our tips for the title in Shanghai:

Rafael Nadal – 1/12 (Coral) – The Mallorcan has been in sensational form and managed to pick up his second grand slam of the season in New York last month. His hard court prowess has followed with an impressive showing in Beijing where he managed to collect his first title in China since the Beijing Olympics in 2008.

Roger Federer – 5/2 (Ladbrokes) – Despite his incredible form at the start of the US Hard Court swing, the Swiss legend hit a hump in New York, losing to Juan Martin Del Potro at the quarter final stage to be denied a 20th Grand Slam title. He’s back from injury however and looks ready to fire here.

Mischa Zverev – 4/7 (Bet 365) – The young German has had an incredible 2017 and his good form continued last week with a semi-final showing in Beijing. With his place at the ATP Tour finals in London secured, he’ll be hoping to play with the pressure off in Shanghai.

Nick Kyrgios – 3/10 (Bet Victor) – The Aussie’s 2017 has been incredibly inconsistent with first round defeats being coupled with tour level wins over Nadal and Federer. The talent is there for all to see although the question marks over his temperament continue to be asked rather than answered.
