County had their bubble burst last weekend as Mansfield snapped their fantastic winning streak. So now it will be interesting to see if they can bounce back immediately to winning ways or will their confidence have been knocked down a peg? Forest Green are rock bottom of the division so County will clearly have a good chance to respond in this one, with Rovers having only collected one point in their last six league games. County are 1/2 odds on with Ladbrokes to pick up the three points with Forest Green a huge 6/1 punt.
Notts County Form
Count were on a great stretch of form having collected 25 from a possible 27 available to them in their W8 D1 stretch. But they lost last weekend as they were taken down at Mansfield so what response do they have in them? Probably at home against the bottom side in the league, a good one. At home, County have gone W4 D1 so far this season and they have three clean sheets in those five games as well. They have averaged over two goals per game at home and just to highlight how good their defence is, only 40% of their home games have gone over 2.5 goals. Jorge Grant has been in great form with seven goals in the league this season.
Forest Green Form
It’s been awhile since Forest Green have had anything to cheer about. They have just the one win this season and they have collected one point in their last eight league games. They just can’t find the back of the net and they have failed to score in four of their last five league games now. Away from home they have remained winless in a D1 L4 record and have totalled just three away goals all season. They look in big trouble and they may not turn the corner in this tough fixture and actually have a really tough month of October with some hard games to come.
Head to Head News
A 2010 FA Cup clash is the only previous game played between these two clubs. County won that fixture 2-1 on home soil.
Top Betting Tips
This should really be a comfortable game for County and they can start building up some momentum again. They have been very strong on home soil and with Forest Green floundering the home side should win this one to nil which is a decent price of 6/4 to get behind.
