Cambridge have propped themselves up into mid-table with basically their home form. But they will be going into a tough home game when Wycombe comes for a visit on the weekend to Abbey Stadium. Wycombe have put together a three-match winning streak to snap a little slump that they were on and the goals are starting to flow from them again. Defensively they still look a train-wreck, but does that matter too much when you have scoring power? Cambridge are 11/8 to pick up the home win, with the visiting Wycombe at 9/5.
Cambridge Form
The U’s have posted a W3 D1 L1 record at home this season, but they are on a three-match winning streak at the Abbey Stadium in League Two. They have collected a clean sheet in three of their last four games there in the league as well. In contrast, they have lost four of their six away games this season, so need this home form to keep them going. The only time that they have been behind at the break in a home game this season, they have lost (against Carlisle) that game. It’s been pretty decent home form from the U’s.
Wycombe Form
Wycombe, after producing a slump of D2 L1 form, have responded well with a three-match winning streak. They have scored at least two goals in each of those three wins in that sequence as well so are back on point. They have netted at least two goals in eight of their eleven league outings this season. Defensively they still look highly vulnerable and that has played a part in 82% of all their games this season going over 2.5 goals and 64% of them have gone over 3.5 goals.
Head to Head News
In last season’s corresponding fixture, Wycombe took a one-goal margin win and they did the same back on home soil against the U’s as well. Wycombe have lost just one of their last six games against Cambridge. Four of Wycombe’s last five wins against Cambridge have been by a 1-0 scoreline and Cambridge’s lone win in that sequence was by the same scoreline. It’s a little hard to see it being such as sedate scoreline in this meeting though with all of that said.

Well worth a punt on both teams to score at 5/6 with Netbet here. It goes against the grain of recent meetings, but the form that Wycombe are in, you can’t ignore it. The U’s have actually done very well on home soil and will challenge well in this one, and they do look a bit of value to go and pick up a point so consider the draw.
