Betting Tip: Houston Dynamo v LA Galaxy

As the MLS regular season draws to a close, teams are vying for position in their respective Conference to qualify for the end of season playoff games.  Failure to do so will mean an early end to the campaign and as things stand, Houston Dynamo could miss out. They start this round of mid-week fixtures sitting 7th in the Western Conference, one place outside the playoff zone and cannot afford to drop many more points if they are to move into the playoff places. This week they welcome LA Galaxy to the BBVA Compass Stadium.  LA Galaxy have been cut adrift at the bottom of the table and only have pride left to play for this season.

Houston Dynamo Form

Having played two games on the road, Houston Dynamo return to the BBVA Compass Stadium in a bid to put their season back on track. Having defeated San Jose Earthquakes 3-0 at home on the 13th August, Houston Dynamo have been on a run of 5 MLS games without a win. There have been defeats against Vancouver Whitecaps, Colorado Rapids and San Jose Earthquakes, with draws against FC Dallas and New York City. Four of those games have been away from home.  However, Houston Dynamo lost their one home fixture in that run 1-0 to Colorado Rapids and need to get back to winning ways. At home, Houston Dynamo have lost just 2 games this season, winning 9 and will hope to take their winning total into double figures this week.

LA Galaxy Form

LA Galaxy have been in terrible form, there is no other way to describe it and they have won just 1 of their last 15 competitive games. The only victory came at home against Colorado Rapids at the start of September and since then LA Galaxy picked up a good point at Seattle Sounders before losing 4-0 at home to Toronto, 4-0 at Atlanta United and 2-1 at Sporting Kansas City. LA Galaxy started the season promisingly away from home and won 4 of their first 6 games.  However, they have failed to win any of their last 7 away league games, with 6 defeats and 1 draw to their name.

Team News

Houston Dynamo will be without defender George Malki for this game who is injured.  There are also doubts over the fitness of midfielder Charlie Ward and Swiss defender Philippe Senderos. LA Galaxy will be missing Robbie Rogers, Sebastian Lletget, Baggio Husidic, Pele van Anholt and Daniel Steres due to injury. Bradley Diallo is also struggling to be fit in time for the game.
