The rise of the Imps continued in midweek when they took an away win at Forest Green Rovers. They are now on a great four match unbeaten streak and will have a chance to extend that as they play host to Mansfield on Saturday. The Stags have also remained unbeaten in their last four games, but they have won just the one of them and they have yet to taste victory out on the road in League Two this term as well. Lincoln are trading at 6/4 though to win this one, with Mansfield in at 15/8 with SkyBet. This will probably be close.
Lincoln Form
So there is no faulting the form of Lincoln then with a four match unbeaten streak going in the division (W3 D1). They have won their last two and both of those were out on the road as well. It’s been good, steady progress from them and at home, they have remained unbeaten with a W1 D2 record having been posted. They have taken a clean sheet in two of their last three games played as well. They will be pretty happy with the way things are going for them and they aren’t looking like the newly-promoted side that they are.
Mansfield Form
The Stags have yet to win out on the road having posted a D2 L1 record from their three away games played this season. Their away loss came at top-three side Accrington last month. They have gone W1 D3 in their last four games with three of those fixtures having been on home soil, so they have missed some chances to pick up extra points. That having been said, they took a point off both Luton and Wycombe, sides above them in the table, but again, that was at home. Will they have enough to break a solid looking Lincoln side out on the road?
Head to Head News
The two clubs have not met in league action since the 2012/13 season in the Blue Square Premier. They did face each other in the EFL trophy this season with Lincoln banking a 3-1 away win back at the end of the August. That is their only win over Mansfield in their last eight meetings though (D3 L4). Lincoln have gone D1 L2 in their last three on home soil against the Stags.
Top Betting Tips
Lincoln are impressing after their promotion from the National League last season and with Mansfield not having had a success on the road yet, the Imps may just be able to squeeze out a one-goal winning margin in this one which is a 10/3 option, but they are value in the match outright regardless at SkyBet.
