Betting Tip Huddersfield v Leicester

Huddersfield have started the Premier League season very well despite being tipped for relegation straight back to the Championship by most people. I have been very impressed by the fight that they have put up recently and we look set to see more of that this weekend when Leicester City visit.

After a struggle last season, Leicester look much more like the team of old this season and have played much better than their points total of just three points would suggest. Considering they have play Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea they are probably thrilled with three points and will be looking to kick on in September now that the games are a little easier. However, this won’t be an easy trip for them and they are going to have to be at their best to win at Huddersfield.

Huddersfield Form

Life in the Premier League has been going well for Huddersfield so far and this weekend saw them lose their first game of the season. Before that, they had picked up seven points from two wins and one draw to give themselves a great start to life in the league and a genuinely great start at trying to survive.

The biggest problem ahead for Huddersfield will be managing expectations and maintaining their current form. Games like this one at home to Leicester are going to be tough tests, but they need to pick up points at home, and keeping their home unbeaten run going is their priority in September.

After the frantic start to the season in August, now we will see how a settled Huddersfield team can perform and they are going to be fascinating to watch over the coming games.

Leicester Form

Leicester have been handed a very tough start, although that now looks to be over and I am sure we will see them put more points on the board. They have played well in their tough games and really should have picked up more than just three points. Their loss to Arsenal on the opening day was very disappointing, that was a game they really should have won.

Since then they have performed well without threatening against Manchester United and Chelsea, but the drop in class of their opponent over the next few games will give them hope. I have been impressed with the way Leicester have started and I expect them to pick up more points in the month of September.

Team News

Huddersfield play a very quick attacking style of play which I believed may be their downfall in the Premier League but so far it has been a great positive for them. They have stuck to the methods that gave them success in the Championship and that is great to see. At the head of that attacking play is new striker Steve Mounie and he is going to be key going forward. He has started his Premier League life well and will be looking to add more goals to his name in the coming months.

The same can be said about Jamie Vardy of Leicester City, who has so far this season looked a different player to the one who struggled last season. They will be looking to him for goals and with England on the verge of World Cup qualification next summer, from a personal point of view he will be looking to cement his place in the England squad. He looks a lot livelier than last season and has already got himself on the score sheet, I think we will see a lot more of him in the coming games.

The feel good factor will hopefully remain in Huddersfield and because of that I am going to back them to win again when they play Leicester on Saturday. At the price of 21/10 with Ladbrokes, Ladbrokes and Coral they are great value for a team that has started the season so well. This will be a tough test for them, but one they can win and another three points in the bag would put them on a great number after five games.

Leicester have the ability to go to Huddersfield and win, and they will find this game much easier than the ones they have had so far, but ultimately I think they will fall just short. Huddersfield play a great attacking brand of football that is lovely to watch and that will be rewarded on Saturday with another vital three points for them.
