Mansfield have really struggled to find a winning touch in League Two this season with just the one on the board so far as they head into the weekend. Grimsby managed to stop a bad slump that they were on last weekend as they churned out an important home win over Crewe. Will they have enough to strike a win out on the road though against the Stags who have remained unbeaten on home soil so far?
Mansfield Form
The Stage have remained unbeaten on home soil with a win over Forest Green and a decent enough draw with Luton. Overall they have gone W1 D3 L1 this season so have offered up some reliance. They have scored in each of their league games this season which is a positive and they are the joint top scorers in the bottom half of the division. So that may count for something in this one. They need to start turning those draws into wins though because their defence has been a little questionable.

Grimsby Form
After winning their opening game of the season, the Mariners put together a three match losing streak in which they conceded eight goals. But to their credit, they bounced back with a much-needed home win over Crewe last weekend and they took their first clean sheet of the season in that. Out on the road this season they have gone W1 L1, having conceded in each of those and this may be a tricky game for them. Danny Rose has scored in his last two league games and is 7/5 in the anytime goalscorer market.
Head to Head News
The Mariners took an away win in last season’s trip to Mansfield, winning both league games last season actually. They have lost just one of their last five against the Stags now (W3 D1 L1) so that’s not bad form. Only in one of the last five meetings have both teams scored in a match between these two, but that looks like to be turned on its head in this one.
Top Betting Tips
Would fully back both teams to score in this one because both can pose a decent threat going forward while neither are great at the back. Grimsby have had more struggles than Mansfield have had this term, so back the home side to come through with the victory.
