After an opening day defeat to Burnley, Chelsea bounced back in the best way possible with a great away win against Tottenham last Sunday. They will head into this game feeling much better after that, and will be looking to register their first home victory of the season.

Chelsea
EvertonEverton have spent a lot of money this summer and they are the ones who have the best chance to break into the top six, although that is going to be very tough for them. They also have a fitness advantage over other teams, this will be their seventh competitive game of the season, while Chelsea are playing just their third.
Stamford Bridge was a fortress last season and after an opening day loss, Chelsea will be looking to get back to winning ways on their home soil in this game.
Chelsea Form
Discipline really didn’t help Chelsea in their opener, they went down to 10 men early in the game and finished with 9. They eventually lost 3-2 to Burnley, with the away side playing very well and taking the chances they were given. Chelsea will have known that was not good enough, but credit to them because last weekend they bounced back in the best way possible.
They went to Wembley and found a way to win against one of their title rivals, Tottenham, eventually winning the game 2-1. That was much better and people have forgotten about the opening game thanks to that victory against their rivals.
I am sure Chelsea will be involved in the title race again this season, they have a quality side and last week showed us that they love to play when they are under a bit of pressure.
Everton Form
Everton have been the big spenders this summer, bringing in numerous players to try and improve their squad. On the whole I think they have done very well, recruited the right players and they look likely to finish close to the top six, or maybe they will break into it.
After playing four Europa League games alongside their two Premier League games, Everton have a fitness advantage over most other clubs, although this weekend I don’t think we will see that. Everton played away in the Europa League on Thursday night, having to travel home, get ready and then travel to London for this game on Sunday, it isn’t ideal to prepare like that.
I have high hopes for Everton and they are unbeaten after their first two games. An opening day win over Stoke was followed up by a great point away at Manchester City, they will be looking for more of the same in this one and they head to Chelsea with nothing to lose.
Team News
These two clubs are going to be looking at their new strikers to provide a spark and ultimately provide goals for their team this season. At Chelsea, Alvaro Morata is the new man on the scene, he has been tasked with replacing Diego Costa and after a bright start he is going to score plenty of goals for Chelsea I am sure.
Wayne Rooney has scored both of Everton’s Premier League goals so far this season and he looks to have settled into his new role very quickly. He has a passion for the club and in big games like this one we will always see the very best of him.
Top Betting Tips
Chelsea will be looking to land their first home victory of the season in this game but they know it won’t be easy, Everton are a very promising team who will head into the game with nothing to lose. Just like at Manchester City, I am sure we will see Everton play without fear as they try to upset the odds.
I do believe that Chelsea have enough to beat Everton, although I expect the game to be very close between these two. The normal win market offers very little value in this game so I am going to pick out a correct score bet to place. I am going to back Chelsea to win the game 2-1, which is priced at 17/2 with Ladbrokes.
I think this is good value and has a good chance of happening based on what I think will happen in the game. I think Everton will score, but ultimately Chelsea will be too strong for them and win the game by one goal. I am backing Chelsea to win this one by a score line of 2-1.
