Sky Bet’s Super 6 Prediction contest continues into it’s 5th round this week with the jackpot still standing at a whopping £1m. The jackpot will stay at that amount until someone wins it and considering it is free to play, Super 6 is something you should be doing every week. If you don’t know what Super 6 is, then where have you been for the last few years?
Super 6 is a score prediction game, with Sky Bet selecting six football matches on a Saturday for you to select the final score in. Along with predicting the correct score, you also choose when you think the first goal will be scored in the games, this works as a tie breaker should multiple people correctly predict the scores. To win the jackpot you must correctly predict the scores in all six of the games. The six games for consideration this week are as follows;
Crystal Palace vs Swansea City
Neither of these two sides have scored a goal or taken a point from either of their opening two games in the Premier League. That run has to end this weekend though and there were signs of improvement for Crystal Palace against Liverpool last weekend and against Ipswich Town in the EFL Cup on Tuesday, so I’m backing Palace to win this one.
Crystal Palace 2 – 1 Swansea City
Newcastle United vs West Ham United
Two more teams here who have failed to win a point yet this season and like Crystal Palace and Swansea City, Newcastle United are yet to find the back of the net. West Ham United were unfortunate to lose 3-2 to Southampton last weekend after coming back from 2-0 down with ten men and I think there will be goals in this one.
Newcastle United 2 – 2 West Ham United
Huddersfield Town vs Southampton
Huddersfield Town were the favourites for relegation when the season started, but after two impressive victories without conceding a goal, they find themselves joint top of the Premier League table. I think their luck will run out against a solid looking Southampton side who are yet to lose this season on Saturday though.
Huddersfield Town 1 – 3 Southampton
Watford vs Brighton & Hove Albion
Brighton have struggled in their opening two league games, losing both without scoring and they come up against an exciting Watford side who are yet to lose this season. Marco Silva has his Watford side playing some lovely stuff and I’m backing them to pick up another win on Saturday.
Watford 2 – 0 Brighton & Hove Albion
Birmingham City vs Reading
We drop down to the Championship now to find two teams who have been underwhelming this season, taking just four points from their first four games. Both of these teams have struggled in front of goal this season and I’m going for a low scoring draw in this one.
Birmingham 1 – 1 Reading
Sheffield United vs Derby County
The final game of this week’s Super 6 sees Sheffield United face off against Derby County. Both of these sides have won two games this season and I think this could be an exciting game. Neither side have set the world alight in terms of goals scored, so I’m going for a narrow away victory in this one.
Sheffield United 1 – 2 Derby County
