The League Two season is starting to take shape then and Notts County are making some steady progress after their opening three games. Back to back wins in their last two fixtures has left them with a bit of momentum going which they will be hoping to extend on home soil in this Friday night fixture. They won’t get an easy game though against Accrington who are level on points with them at the moment and who have produced plenty of attacking power so far this season.
This may have the making of being a good open game with plenty of goals flying around. Bookmakers are having a hard time splitting them with Sky Bet going 6/4 on the home win for County while rating Accrington at 7/4.
Notts County Form:
County lost their opening game of the season on the road at Coventry, but have responded from that very well. They banked a home win over Chesterfield before putting four goals past Wycombe out on the road over the weekend. So that’s six goals in their last two games played then and they will be aiming for two wins from two on home soil. They did fail to get the better of Accrington last season so they can throw a bit of revenge in there for motivation as well. There will remain question marks over their defence with five goals shipped in three games, but offensively they may stand toe to toe with the Reds.
Accrington Form:
Stanley have had successes in both of their home games this season, but they did take a hit their only away game this season in League Two. That was out at the struggling Yeovil as well, with the Reds going down 3-2. You can generally rely on Accrington for goals because they have scored seven in their three games and at least two in each of those fixtures as well. Kayden Jackson has scored four goals this season, netting at least one in each of their league games, so he will be value in the goalscorer markets. Can they get themselves up and running away from home?
Head to Head News:
Accrington had the upper hand over County last season in League Two, winning both games by a 2-0 scoreline. They are on a three-match winning streak against Notts County and are unbeaten in their last six against them (W4 D2). So they are running very strong in the head to head. They have contested twelve League Two meeting and the Reds have a W4 D3 L4 record against County, so overall it is even.
Top Betting Tips:
This should be an open entertaining game here with County picking up their form and Accrington always posing a threat. Both teams to score at 4/6 with Sky Bet looks a banker for this one and while it is hard to pick a winner, there is value in backing the Reds on the road. They have it in them to recover from that misfire at Yeovil and bank a solid three points. They just edge things in terms of scoring power.
