This should be one of the more interesting clashes knocking around League Two this weekend. Forest Green only have a point in the bag so far from their two games played but that point they picked up was on home soil. Yeovil conceded eight goals in their season opener against Luton Town, but then to their credit, produced a stunning response as they went out and took a home win over Accrington last weekend. So games involving Yeovil certainly haven’t been short of drama so far and will this continue as they head to the New Lawn? Forest Green are only even money on home soil to win this one with Yeovil out at 13/5.

Forest Green Form
Forest Green’s only point this season came in a 2-2 draw with Barnet on the opening weekend of the season. They didn’t raise much in a 2-0 defeat out at Mansfield last weekend, as expected. Forest Green came up through the National League play offs last season and are naturally going to find the going a little bit tough. But they will need to collect as many points on home soil as they can this season if they are going to survive. With Yeovil scoring goals so far, this isn’t an easy home fixture for Rovers.
Yeovil Form
So after their 8-2 loss against Luton on the opening weekend of the season, the Glovers turned around and took a home win over Accrington. That was a big result, a big show of character from them and despite only a W1 L1 record going so far this season, that is five goals that they have scored in two games. Of course they have conceded ten, but still, considering that they were the joint-lowest scorers in last season’s League Two, the goals have been a big positive for them. Yeovil have Francois Zoko and Olufela Olomola both on two goals this season.
Head to Head News
So there’s not a great deal of head to head history to look back on, certainly not any recent stuff. This will be the first meeting between the two of them since the 2002/03 season of the Football Conference when they traded home wins. Overall the head to head across all competitions stands in favour of Yeovil with a W5 D2 L3 record against Rovers. All of the previous meetings were in the Conference so this is their first meeting at this level. If you want a trend, the Glovers have only lost one of their last seven against Rovers (W4 D2 L1).
Top Betting Tips
There is a temptation to roll with Yeovil in this one even though they were really poor on the road last season. They have just been scoring freely and they showed tremendous character last weekend. Rovers look as if they are still finding their feet a little bit in the higher tier and this could be a great chance for Yeovil to boost themselves further. Back the Glovers in the match outright.
