In one of the ties of the round, Red Bull Salzburg welcome Rijeka to Austria for the first-leg of the thrid round of Champions League qualification. Both sides impressed in the last round and unlike some of the match-ups at this stage, it is difficult to pick a winner between these two.

Rijeka’s form
The Croatian side were equally impressive in their Champions League qualifying match. They batted away TNS with relative ease. The Welsh Champions just couldn’t live with the skill and pace of their Croatian counterparts. Rijeka are a good side and we have no doubt that they will give Salzburg some problems at the back. This side are particularly strong on the counter-attack, so keep an eye on them attacking with pace.

The winner of this round goes onto the fourth qualifying round of the Champions League and that’s where things really get interesting. Heavyweights from Europe’s top league enter the competition at that stage.
