Mumbai Indians vs Chennai Super Kings Betting Tip & Predicition
We see two teams at different ends of the table meet in this early season encounter and Mumbai Indians host Chennai Super Kings at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on Wednesday 3rd April. This will be the fourth match of the 2019 Indian Premier League for both teams.
Mumbai Indians Playing Catchup
It has been a difficult start to the new campaign for Mumbai Indians, who have won one of their three matches to date. Their most recent defeat, which came at the hands of Kings XI Punjab was poor and both the batting and bowling could do with some improvement.
They also tasted defeat by 37 runs at home against Delhi Capitals and any sort of win here would be very welcome.
Mumbai Indians are Evens with William Hill to win the game.
Chennai Super Kings Looking Strong
Chennai Super Kings will come into this match full of confidence having won each of their three games this season. They have defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore, Delhi Capitals and most recently Rajasthan Royals.
The win over Rajasthan Royals was a good battling performance in a game which could easily have gone against them and Chennai Super Kings appear to mean business this season. Another win here and they will already be thinking ahead to the playoffs, even at this early stage of the campaign.
It will be interesting to see how Chennai Super Kings adapt to the wicket having played on slow pitches so far this season but they are the slight favourites to win this match at Evens with Ladbrokes.
Key Players
Mumbai Indians need to find some bowlers who can assist Jasprit Bumrah, who has been the major performer with the ball for the home team this season. He is one of the fastest bowlers in India and continues to perform at a high level in all forms of the game.
Bumrah has 4 wickets to his name this season, making him tied for third in terms of wickets taken and is fifth the number of dot balls bowled. His economy and strike rate are also good and it quickly becomes apparent how important Bumrah is to the Mumbai Indians.
The other bowlers need to up their game but all eyes will be on Bumrah and you can back him at 9/4 with William Hill to be the top bowler for Mumbai Indians.
Chennai Super Kings will be hoping batsman Ambati Rayadu can find some form in this match. He has been poor at the top of the order so far in IPL 2019 but enjoyed playing in Mumbai earlier in his career and a return may see him come good.
Rayadu is available at 3/1 with William Hill to be the top batsman for Chennai Super Kings.
