The PGA Tour is up and running as it moves into February and the US Spring Swing looks to be hotly contested once again in 2019. Justin Rose cemented his status as world number one last week with his impressive in at Torrey Pines and in the absence of the Englishman in Phoenix, many of the chasing pack will fancy their chances of picking up precious ranking points and prize money here.

The field at the Phoenix Open has a predominantly American feel but there are plenty of big names from across the world of golf that could go all the way in Arizona this week.
Here’s a look at some of our favourites for the Phoenix Open:
Jon Rahm – +750.00 (William Hill) – The world number six finished 5th at the Farmers Insurance Open last weekend and his consistency continues to hold him in good stead in all the events he plays. He will be eager to get his first trophy of 2019 here.
Justin Thomas – +1000.00 (Coral) – World number four Justin Thomas will be looking to get his season underway here in Phoenix. With no form to speak of at the end of 2018 he could be a little rusty here but his quality is unquestioned at this level.
Hideki Matsuyama – +1200.00 (888 Sport) – Two time Champion at the Phoenix Open, Hideki Matsuyama will be looking to find form in Phoenix once again this year after a difficult 2018. His third place finish at the Farmers last week could be a good omen this week in Arizona.
Gary Woodland – +1700.00 (Bet Victor) – Defending champion Gary Woodland will be looking to ignite his season once again in Arizona having impressed throughout018. His game looks well suited to the course and he could be one to watch here.
Xander Schauffele– +2000.00 (Ladbrokes) – World number 7 Xander Schauffele will be looking to keep his impressive run of form going in Phoenix. His win at the Sentry Tournament of Champions got him off to a flying start in 2019 and he should be raring to go here.
Tony Finau – +2100.00 (Net Bet) – The exciting American is a proven performer on the PGA Tour and his 13th place finish at the Farmers last week should give him confidence here. He finished in the top 10 of three of the four majors last season and should be one to watch here.
Phil Mickelson – +2500.00 (Betfair) – American legend Phil Mickelson will feature in his 30th consecutive Phoenix Open and he will be hoping for a fairytale finish on Sunday. He has been in impressive form in 2019 and shouldn’t be ruled out in an event he has won three times previously.
Tyrrell Hatton – +6600.00 (10 Bet) – Fiery Englishman Tyrrell Hatton is plating on both the European and PGA Tour this season and will want to set down a marker in Phoenix. Despite no form to speak of going into the event, he could well have a part to play in proceedings this week.
