Serie A Weekend Betting Preview
There are just two rounds of games left in Serie A and there is still all to play for at both ends of the table. Juventus need just a point from their final two games to be crowned champions for the 34th time, whilst the battle for Champions League football is set to go to the wire.
Roma, Lazio and Inter Milan are currently separated by just four points and with Lazio and Inter Milan set to meet on the final day of the season, this weekend is key for all three of those teams. Things are even tighter down at the bottom of the table where just a single point separates Chievo in 15th place and Cagliari in 18th place. There are five teams battling to avoid relegation and there could be real drama this weekend. In this article, I will be taking a look at a selection of the games from the weekend and giving you some tips to take advantage of.
Inter Milan vs Sassuolo
Inter Milan have given themselves a great chance of getting into the Champions League next season due to their recent fantastic form, with their dramatic 3-2 loss against Juventus their only defeat in the last five matches. They currently sit two points behind Lazio in the race for a top four finish, but with Inter Milan facing Lazio on the final day of the season, a win here would keep their fate in their own hands.
They come up against a Sassuolo side with nothing left to play for and who have suffered heavy defeats away at the big teams this season (7-0 vs Juventus and 6-1 vs Lazio). For that reason, I’m backing Inter Milan to win big here and the 21/20 available on them to win and there to be over 3.5 goals in the match looks like an excellent bet. One man who will be desperate to score is Mauro Icardi, with the Inter hit man currently sitting one goal behind Ciro Immobile in the race of the Golden Boot. You can get odds of 6/4 on Icardi to open the scoring and that could well be worth a punt.

Crotone vs Lazio
This is a massive game for both of these sides on Saturday with Crotone sitting just a single point outside the relegation places and Lazio embroiled in a real battle to qualify for next season’s Champions League. Seven points from their last four matches have given Crotone a real chance of staying up, but with their two remaining fixtures being against Lazio and Napoli, they may need to hope that the teams around them also lose.
It is sure to be a tense and tight affair on Saturday with so much at stake for both of these sides. Crotone can draw strength from the fact that they beat Lazio on the final day of last season to stay up, but this Lazio side are unbeaten in their last nine matches and are the highest scoring team in the division. There are usually goals when Lazio play and over 3.5 goals at 17/10 looks like a great bet to me here.

Roma vs Juventus
Two of the most successful Italian teams meet in Rome on Sunday night with Juventus needing just a point to seal another Serie A title. Roma themselves need two points from their final two games to guarantee their place in the top four and I think we could be in for a real treat in this one. Roma are the form side in Serie A, having picked up 13 points from the last 15 available and they are looking to beat Juventus for the third time in a row at home. Games between these sides are usually high scoring, with four of the last five matches producing over 2.5 goals and therefore I think we could be in for another classic in this one.
Edin Dzeko has been in fine form recently and he is available at 4/1 to open the scoring. An interesting outside bet in this one could be Roma/Draw in the HT/FT market as I fancy them to start fast, but for Juventus to come back strong in the second half. You can get odds of 14/1 on this outcome and it’s certainly something which could be worth a look.
