Barcelona Favourites to Land Griezmann
Having looked odds on to sign for Manchester United last summer, Antoine Griezmann is the subject of yet more transfer speculation, with the Frenchman expected to finally depart Atletico Madrid before the 2018 World Cup starts in Russia. Bookmaker SkyBet have the former Real Sociedad youngster at odds of just 1/6 to depart the Wanda Metropolitano this summer, with Barcelona reportedly heading the list of potential suitors.
Fans at Old Trafford were already dreaming of Griezmann fulfilling the vacant number seven shirt at Manchester United last summer, only for Jose Mourinho to have a change of heart and sign Romelu Lukaku instead. As a result, and despite having the likes of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Philippe Coutinho and Ousmane Dembele as attacking options already, Barcelona are thought to be closing in on a deal for the French international. Both Ladbrokes and BetVictor have Griezmann at a price of 2/5 to arrive at the Camp Nou this summer, with Atletico Madrid reportedly being ready to cash in on their prized asset.
Griezmann recently helped Atletico in reaching the upcoming Europa League final, with odds of 7/2 on the Frenchman staying at the club beyond the summer transfer window from bookmaker SkyBet demonstrating that his time with the club could well be coming to an end. Griezmann has previously stated that he wishes to have his future sorted before the start of the 2018 World Cup, meaning that a deal could be announced in the coming weeks. Manchester duo United and City are offered odds of 12/1 and 25/1 respectively to scupper any potential deal for Griezmann.
Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone was once believed to be on the shortlist to replace Arsene Wenger as Arsenal manager, however it now looks like being a two-horse race between Massimo Allegri and Luis Enrique. Allegri is set to win yet another title with Italian giants Juventus and could well choose to have a change of scenery for next season. The Italian tactician is offered best odds of 7/4 by Betfred to be in charge at the Emirates Stadium on the opening day of the campaign in August.
