Accrington kept their promotion charge going with their fourth win on the bounce with a home success recorded over Crewe in midweek. That keeps them going strong and this weekend they head off to face a Barnet side whose survival hopes took another massive hit with a defeat out at Yeovil. This is almost top versus bottom in League Two and the outcome may be a bit of a foregone conclusion, therefore.

Barnet Form
Barnet are still rock bottom of the division despite picking up a win last weekend when they hosted top-four side Notts County. That was a shock result, to say the least, but they immediately turned around and lost an easier game at Yeovil in midweek. That means the Bees are still a long way from safety, five points adrift at the foot of the table. They are now W1 D2 L2 in their last five league games. They are unbeaten in their last two on home soil though having picked up four points. Overall their home form is just W4 D4 L7 for the season though and that clean sheet over Notts County last weekend was a rate one. It is Barnet’s only clean sheet in their last twenty league outings. There is still a tremendous amount of work for them to do to get safe. They have netted just thirteen home goals this season at home and while they have netted in each of their last three home fixtures, it’s unlikely that will out-punch Accrington.
Accrington Form
Stanley won again in midweek making it four on the bounce for them now and it leaves them in second place. It’s been an impressive stretch for them and it helps when you have a forward like Billy Kee who is the division’s top scorer so far this term. Accrington have won three of their last four games out on the road (L1) and they have scored at least two goals in each of those wins as well and each of the wins in that sequence was with a clean sheet. So Accrington to win to nil may well have some appeal. Their overall form home and away in their last nine games is now W8 L1 and that is something that should be putting fear into Barnet ahead of this fixture. Following their midweek win over Crewe, Stanley have scored at least two goals in all but two of their last nine games. There could be trouble ahead for the Bees.
Head to Head News
Accrington were big 4-1 winners when they faced Barnet earlier in the season. That is back to back league wins that they have taken over the Bees now. Accrington have only suffered the one defeat in their last seven games against Barnet now (W4 D2 L1) so have a good advantage going in the head to head. Stanley have only lost one of their last four visits to the Hive Stadium as well (W1 D2 L1).
