It was a very busy week in the Premier League, with the transfer deadline falling right in the middle of a busy two days of matches. There were some big late transfers that went through including Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to Arsenal, Olivier Giroud to Chelsea and Aymeric Laporte to Manchester City. It wasn’t just transfers that made the news though, with Tottenham Hotspur beating Manchester United 2-0 and Chelsea going down to a shock 3-0 defeat at home to Bournemouth.
There’s no respite for the teams though with another packed weekend of action. In this article I have taken a look at Saturday’s matches and will be putting together a 4-fold bet for you to take advantage of. All of the odds in this article come courtesy of Coral and are accurate at the time of writing.
Burnley v Manchester City
Manchester City extended their lead at the top to 15 points on Wednesday night with a comfortable 3-0 win against West Bromwich Albion and I’m expecting them to come away with a similar result on Saturday lunchtime. Burnley are in horrid run of form which has seen them go eight games without a win in the league and I can’t see that changing against the best team in the country in this one.

Brighton v West Ham United
Normally, with everyone fit and looking at the current form books for these two sides I would be backing West Ham United here. But when you look at The Hammers injury list; Andy Carroll, Manuel Lanzini, Winston Reid, Arthur Masuaka, Marko Arnautovic, Michail Antonio and Pedro Obiang, it’s hard to see them winning here. Brighton won the reverse fixture 3-0 at London Stadium and I’m backing them to complete a league double here.

West Bromwich Albion v Southampton
Two teams performing well below expectations meet at The Hawthorns on Saturday as West Bromwich Albion host Southampton in a massive relegation battle. Between them, these two teams have drawn 22 matches this season, more than any other teams in the league and that is the result I’m backing here. Both sides have signed attacking reinforcements in January and they will need to start scoring more goals if they are to survive.

Bournemouth v Stoke City
Eddie Howe engineered a stunning 3-0 win away at Premier League champions Chelsea on Wednesday night and he will be aiming to make it four wins in six games on Saturday against struggling Stoke City. The Potters currently sit just a single point outside the relegation places and I’m backing them to struggle again on Saturday. Bournemouth have looked excellent in recent weeks and will be setting their sights on a top ten finish now.
