Once in a while comes along one of those games where you feel it is a must-win situation for one of the teams involved. This is one of them as Tottenham need to produce three points in this one against the Red Devils to give their chances of a top-four finish this season a boost. The Lilywhites are just off the boil a little bit at the moment so a bonus three points against second-placed United would do them wonders and put pressure on Liverpool for that fourth spot.

Spurs have very good home form behind them as they are unbeaten in eleven games at Wembley in the top flight. They have dropped only the two points from their last fifteen available as well at home in the league. So overall they have been strong and with an average of over two goals per game on home soil, they have enough to challenge in this one. Alexis Sanchez made his debut for United against Yeovil in the FA Cup on the weekend and had a hand in a couple of goals. The former Arsenal man will be under scrutiny for his new club in this massively competitive game. United will probably be happy enough to hold out for a point in this game as they are cruising their way to a top-four finish and that would keep the challenge of Spurs at bay at least. United are in good form with a six-match undefeated streak of form going on the road. They are unbeaten in their last eight league games overall now as well, winning each of their last three. They also haven’t conceded in any of their last four as well. The Red Devils have only lost twice this season on their travels, both by a one-goal margin, and they have netted in each of their last six away from Old Trafford. They will be difficult to break down, and they have scored in 83% of their away matches.

Each of the last six meetings between the two clubs have ended in a home win and both teams have scored in just one of the last seven clashes.
