It’s another big weekend of action in the Premier League this week and even though there are no fixtures as big last Sunday’s game between Liverpool and Manchester City, it still promises to be an exciting weekend of action.
Brighton & Hove Albion v Chelsea
Both of these teams have been struggling in recent weeks with a run of four games without a win seeing Brighton slide to just three points above the relegation places, whilst three draws in their last five matches have seen Chelsea slip below Liverpool and into fourth place in the table. Chelsea were disappointing against Norwich City in their FA Cup replay on Wednesday night and it took a penalty shoot-out to seal the victory for them in that one. I’m backing Chelsea to pick up a big win away from home in this one, although I can see it being a slog.

Leicester City v Watford
Both of these sides have been inconsistent, but sometimes brilliant this season and we could well be in for an exciting game on Saturday. Between them both, they have won just two of the last ten matches, but I’m backing Leicester City to pick up the victory in this one. Watford have been pretty poor for a number of weeks now and are sliding into the bottom half of the table. Leicester followed up their win against Huddersfield Town with a strong showing against Chelsea on their way to a 0-0 draw and I think they’ll make it three games unbeaten on Saturday.

West Ham United v Bournemouth
This is another game which could conceivably go either way, but with West Ham United unbeaten in their last four matches under David Moyes, I’m backing them to pick up the win. Bournemouth were excellent last time out against Arsenal, and they too are unbeaten in their last four matches, but I think at home, West Ham will have too much for Eddie Howe’s side.

Burnley v Manchester United
Another team who started the season strongly but now appear to be tailing off is Burnley. Sean Dyche’s side are without a win in seven games in all competitions and teams seem to have figured out the way to break them down. Dyche will be hoping to engineer a strong defensive display against Manchester United on Saturday, but I think Jose Mourinho’s side will have too much in attack for Burnley. Three wins on the spin have eased the pressure on Manchester United and with Paul Pogba turning in a superb display against Stoke City last time out, The Red Devils should come into this game full of confidence.
