January transfers: Is Alexis Sanchez on his way out of Arsenal?

The January transfer window is nearly upon us. The speculation around several players is growing, but the most talked about potential move revolves around Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez. The Chilean will be out of contract in July and many believe Arsenal will cash-in on the attacking player before the end of January. Several teams have been linked with Sanchez, but will Arsenal sell in the end?

To coincide with the transfer window re-opening, Ladbrokes is offering fantastic odds on potential January moves, including Sanchez leaving Arsenal. Ladbrokes is offering odds of 1/2 that Sanchez will join former manager Pep Guardiola at Manchester City. The former Barcelona manager is a big fan of the attacker; and the two could be reunited in Manchester. Bayern Munich is another front-runner in the signature of Sanchez. The Bavarian giants are 7/1 to complete a transfer for the Chilean. Barcelona, Manchester United and Real Madrid are also in the running to land Sanchez. All three clubs are at odds of 20/1, but of the trio, Real Madrid are the only side with a real need for Sanchez’s scoring and creative abilities. Bayern have just added a new striker, Sandro Wagner, and the need for Sanchez is low.

The 29-year-old Sanchez was linked with a move away from Arsenal last summer, and was about to leave until the Gunners’ transfer for Monaco’s Thomas Lemar fell through at the 11th hour. Guardiola has spoken about his desire to add Sanchez, and Arsenal are at risk of getting nothing for him, if they don’t sell in January.

Ladbrokes also offers great odds on other potential player transfers in the Premier League and La Liga this January. Harry Kane, Jack Wilshere, Riyad Mahrez and even Gareth Bale all have great, competitive odds being offered by Ladbrokes during the transfer window. Will they leave their current club or stay until the end of the season?

Sanchez is likely to move this January despite the stubborn transfer policy of Arsene Wenger. The attacking player isn’t the only possible Arsenal player to leave for free next summer. Sanchez won’t re-sign, so Arsenal have to make a big decision on their players this January. If he does, it could land punters a great return.
