Betting Tip: Barnet v Cheltenham

Can Barnet stay out of the drop zone at Christmas? Three points last weekend saw them stay just above the relegation zone but only on goal difference. This would really be a boost to them if they could get three points on the board. Cheltenham have only managed the one win in their last six games and have just been struggling to kill off games.

Barnet Form

A win over Morecambe at home last weekend gave the Bees a huge boost because it led them outside of the drop zone. Still, they are only W2 L5 in their last seven league games so they don’t have a great deal to cheer about. That win over the Shrimps last weekend snapped a seven-match winless streak of home form that they were on (D3 L4) so they really needed that. There have only been the ten goals in their eleven home fixtures for the term but they haven’t been terrible at the back at all having conceded just over an average of a goal per game. They are without a clean sheet in their last five at home though so both teams to score may be worth a poke.

Cheltenham Form

The Robins have only managed the one win in their last seven games now (D4 L2). They have not managed one in any of their last five away games either (D2 L3). They have only picked up the one away win all season on their travels and that was out at Chesterfield back at the end of September. 64% of their away goals have been in the first half of matches while they have conceded 58% of their away goals in the second half of games. The Robins have the fourth worst away record in the division this season and they have only opened the scoring in four of their eleven road games. Given the poor form of Barnet though, they could be in this.

Head to Head News

Barnet won both meetings with the Robins last season, but both teams scored in both of the meetings. From the twelve previous League two meetings, things are even with three wins each and six drawn matches. Barnet are unbeaten in their eight previous home games against the Robins in all competitions.

Barnet v Cheltenham – Odds and Predictions

The Robins though go as 6/4 favourites to take the win with Barnet at 28/15.

Top Betting Tips Barnet v Cheltenham

This is probably going to be a really light scrap between the two of them and the draw is the best option to roll with here. Barnet haven’t won enough at home to be reliable enough to back and the Robins have a bit of resiliency about them but aren’t winning games.
