Struggling West Ham United welcome high flying Chelsea to The London Stadium on Saturday with David Moyes still looking to pick up his first win as West Ham United manager. The gap between the top five teams in the league and the other 15 seems to be growing, with the last 23 matches between the Premier League top five and the rest of the league reading P23, W23, L0, For 59, Against 12 in favour of the top teams. Antonio Conte will be confident that Chelsea can keep that run going this weekend, as his in form Chelsea team take on a West Ham United side who are without a win in five.

West Ham United
West Ham United were extremely unlucky to go down to a 2-1 defeat to Manchester City in their last match and David Moyes will certainly have been encouraged by the fight shown by his players. It took a late David Silva goal to grab all three points for the league leaders and despite giving a good showing of themselves it still goes down as a defeat for West Ham United. There are rumours that David Moyes could drop goalkeeper, Joe Hart, this weekend, with Adrian in line to keep his place. England number one, Hart, has been in poor form for the last few years now and he will surely be lucky to retain his starting spot at the World Cup next summer.
Chelsea
Chelsea come into this game in fine form, having won four of their last five in the Premier League. Antonio Conte will have been disappointed to have drawn 1-1 with Atletico Madrid on Tuesday night; a result which means Chelsea finished as runners up to Roma in their group. Last weekend Conte’s side came back from an early deficit to record a comfortable 3-1 win against Newcastle United and the Italian will be very pleased with the way Eden Hazard and Alvaro Morata are playing right now. The attacking pair seem to have developed a fantastic understanding and that will stand them in good stead against a weak West Ham United defence this Saturday.
Talking Points
1. Chelsea have the second best away record in the Premier League this season, with their only defeat coming against bottom side Crystal Palace back in October.
2. Between them, Eden Hazard and Alvaro Morata have scored 50% of Chelsea’s Premier League goals this season.
3. West Ham United have the worst defensive record in the Premier League, having conceded a huge 32 goals in 15, an average of more than two conceded a game.
Prediction
On paper and looking at the form book, this game looks as though it will be hugely one-sided. Chelsea are playing well right now and sweeping aside all before them, whilst West Ham United have been very poor this season, winning just twice in the Premier League. The great thing about football is you never know though! Chelsea came undone against bottom side Crystal Palace in October and West Ham United will be studying that game to see how they did it. Despite that, I think Chelsea will win here and in Eden Hazard, they have one of the most in form players in the league right now.
Betting Tips
Chelsea start this game as 1/2 favourites, whilst a home win for West Ham United is priced up at 11/2, with the draw available at 62/17. I do think Chelsea will win here, but I can see West Ham United causing them one or two problems, so I’m backing BTTS at 19/20 and Chelsea to win and BTTS at 12/5. I think both of those are solid bets and as we saw last weekend, West Ham United have enough in their locker to trouble the big teams. In terms of goal scorers, Eden Hazard is in superb form right now and the 13/10 available on him to Score at Anytime looks like a great bet to me.
