It’s the final round of the UEFA Champions League group stage coming up and there are places still up for grabs. Eight of the slots in the round of sixteen have already been filled with the likes of Real Madrid, Manchester City and Bayern Munich having all progressed. For others there is still some work to do and here is a look at who needs what on Match Day Six.
Already Qualified as Group Winners
Barcelona, Besiktas, Man City, Tottenham
Already Qualified
Bayern Munich, Chelsea, PSG, Real Madrid
Group A
Manchester United only need a group to qualify as group winners. They can afford to lose by six goals to CSKA this week and still get through as long as Basel don’t win. Even if they lose and Basel do win, that creates a three-way tie, which United would still top as long as they didn’t lose by more than four goals. CKSA and Basel are level on nine points and they will go through if both they and CSKA lose or both draw. If they both win, Basel would still likely get through unless CSKA beat United by at least three goals.

Group B
PSG and Bayern meet on Match Day six and the top spot is up for grabs. Bayern needs to win the game by a four-goal margin to take the top spot away from PSG after having lost 3-0 against them in Paris earlier in the campaign. In this group, Scottish champions Celtic need a point to guarantee third place over Anderlecht.

Group C
Chelsea are still in the hunt for the top spot and they will get that if they win this game or if Roma fails to win theirs. Roma will secure a qualification place with a victory or if Atletico fails to win. The Italians will top the group if they win and Chelsea don’t. Then there is Atletico Madrid who have to win their game at Stamford Bridge against Chelsea and hope that Roma don’t land in second place in order to get through, because the Italians have the better head to head against the Spaniards.

Group D
Barcelona have already won the group and Juventus are likely to join them in the next round, by taking second place. The Old Lady will ensure a place in the next round with a win, or if Sporting fail to beat Barcelona. The only way Sporting can get through is if they win their game against Barcelona and Juventus lose in Greece.

Group E
There’s a tight race in this one as Liverpool need a point to qualify and a win would get the top spot. Liverpool will be out though if they lose and Sevilla also loses on the night. Sevilla needs a draw to qualify and if they win their game and Liverpool don’t then the Spaniards take the top spot. Spartak Moscow are still in this and they need a win over Liverpool to get through and nothing else.

Group F
Manchester City have already won Group F at a canter. Surprisingly Napoli are struggling to follow them to the next round as the Italians have to win and hope Shakhtar Donetsk lose. If Shakhtar just avoids defeat against Man City then they get through if Napoli fails to beat Feyenoord.

Group G
We have a surprising group winner in this one as Besiktas have already topped the pile. That leaves a scrap between Leipzig and Porto for second place. Leipzig have to better whatever Porto do on the night to get second place if things end up level between Port and Leipzig, then the Germans get through via a superior head to head.

Group H
Tottenham have already pulled off the surprise of topping their group over Real Madrid. The Spaniards though have also qualified as well, leaving the only thing to settle in Group H being the third place and Dortmund only need a draw to secure that over APOEL.
