Houston Rockets vs Golden State Warriors: Current situation
Stubbornness is not a good trait to have in life, especially if you’re an NBA head coach. For some odd reason Ime Udoka refuses to give minutes to his bench players in this series, he’s relied mostly on his starters to get points while just a couple of players off the pine are getting minuscule minutes. That strategy has resulted in the team being down 3-1, so it’ll be interesting to see if Udoka’s approach changes heading into an elimination game on Wednesday.
The legend of Jimmy Butler keeps growing by the day and he has become a fan favorite in San Francisco already. Less than a week after his nasty hip injury which cost him Game 3, Butler recovered in time and dominated the opponent on both ends. He will definitely feel the effects of the injury in the coming days, so the question is can he repeat that performance in Game 5?
Houston Rockets Stats & Form
With 31 points and 10 rebounds Alperen Sengun had one of the best individual performances in this year’s postseason, but even that wasn’t enough for the Houston Rockets to win Game 4 at Chase Center. Veteran guard Fred VanVleet contributed with 25 points and 8 threes, while Jalen Green once again had a pedestrian showing with just 8 point scored.
Golden State Warriors Stats & Form
Houston did a solid job at limiting Stephen Curry to just 17 points on Monday night, as he went just 2-for-8 from three. However, Brandin Podziemski more than filled the void with 26 including 6 threes made. We spoke earlier about the heroics of Jimmy Butler, but let’s also not underestimate Draymond Green who had a few key stops on the defensive end down the stretch.
Houston Rockets vs Golden State Warriors: Head-to-Head
With 3 wins during the regular season and 3 wins in this series, the Warriors have accumulated 6 wins total over the Rockets in 9 meetings this year. That’s a big enough sample size that we can say they’re the better team here, they are outscoring the Rockets by 4.2 points per game over the last 10 meetings.
Houston Rockets – Golden State Warriors Odds

The point total has been set at just 204.5 points, with odds of 10/11 supporting either the over or the under.

Betting tip and prediction: Houston Rockets vs Golden State Warriors (30.04.2025)
Who would have though that after 4 games played the Houston Rockets will be on the verge of elimination in their 1st Round series against the Golden State Warriors? Monday’s game saw Jimmy Butler return to the line-up following that nasty fall suffered in Game 2 which forced him to sat out Game 3. Not only did Jimmy return, but he also led the Warriors in scoring with 27 points and played a team high 40 minutes which just highlights how big of a competitor he is. The strategy of the Warriors still seems to be working just fine – they are allowing Alperen Sengun to get his numbers, while they try to shut down the rest of the team. Apart from Frend VanVleet going hot and knocking down 8 threes, they executed their gameplan to perfection and we do not anticipate many changes for Game 5 from the Warriors side of things. With their backs against the wall, all the pressure is on Houston to survive here after a 52-30 regular season. In moments like these head coaches tend to pull out tricks we haven’t seen so far, so we could get a glimpse of Jeff Green, Cam Whitmore and Jea’Sean Tate in Game 5 but will that be enough? The Warriors are the last team you want to face in an elimination scenario, this is one of the most experienced teams in the entire NBA and they know what it takes. We recommend rolling with the Warriors in Game 5 as well.
