This is an all-League One clash in the second round of the FA Cup. This will actually be the third meeting already between the two clubs this season and so far it has been Scunthorpe on top. Scunthorpe are bang in form at the moment as well as they are up in the top three of the division, while in comparison, Donny are struggling a bit in the bottom half of the table. So with Rovers at home, this could be a pretty even match again between them and the home side are 6/4to win it, with Scunthorpe at 9/5.

Doncaster Form
So the league season has been a bit of a struggle for Doncaster who are lacking a little bit in front of goal, averaging just over a goal per game in the division (21 goals in 20 games). Rovers have won only one of their last five games, but they have drawn four of their last seven in all competitions (W2 D4 L1) so there is a bit of resilience there from them. In the last round, they enjoyed one of their easier draws that they could have gotten as they pummeled Ebbsfleet 2-6 out on the road. They have gone W4 D2 L1 in their last seven games played at the Keepmoat Stadium so this has every hint of being a tight clash.
Scunthorpe Form
Graham Alexander has the Iron going very strong at the moment as they are in the top three in League One and they have won each of their last five games in all competitions. They are unbeaten in their last ten games played now although they did need a replay in the first round to get past Northampton. The defence of the Iron, in the end, could be the thing which tips the balance in this FA Cup tie as they have taken five clean sheets in their last six games, conceding just the one goal in that process. They have two clean sheets in their last three road games as well and are unbeaten in their last five out on the road. They are not going to be a pushover.
Head to Head News
There was a 1-0 win for Scunthorpe at Doncaster earlier this season in League One and then they met against at the end of October in the Football League Trophy and played out a 1-1 draw. Scunthorpe are unbeaten in their last four then against Donny (W3 D1). There has only ever been the one FA Cup tie between the two of them and that was back in 2001 when Scunthorpe rolled out a 3-2 win away from home.
Top Betting Tips
The Iron are well worth a punt to pick up an away win in this one. Defensively they are on a point and with Donny not exactly being a prolific side in front of goal, the visitors can hold their own and sneak through this, probably to nil as well.
