Detroit Pistons vs New York Knicks: Current situation
Despite finishing with the 6th best record in the Eastern Conference, the Detroit Pistons still have a lot of doubters even with their series tied at 1-1 against the heavily favored Knicks. Detroit will be happy with a split coming back home, they’ll now how their first postseason game since 2018 and you can just imagine the atmosphere at Little Ceasar’s Arena on Thursday. They’ve had the Knicks number all year long, winning 3 of the 4 regular season meetings and now taking them down at MSG on Monday. Cade Cunningham really came to life in that game finishing with 33 points and 12 assists. He has been instrumental for the success the Pistons have enjoyed this year, veteran Dennis Schroder also hit some bit shots down the stretch as he finished with 20 points. It’s not often you get to see a team win a game in today’s NBA with just 6 threes made, but the Pistons are a scrappy team and they more than made up for it with their rebounding effort, outperforming the Knicks 48 to 34 in that department.
