Chicago Bulls vs Miami Heat: Current situation
With 6 wins in 7 games overall and 7 in 8 at home, the Bulls actually closed out the regular season as one of the better teams in the Eastern Conference. Things weren’t looking great in the first couple of months of the season, but a revamp of the roster mid-season turned things around for Chicago and now they find themselves in a situation where they can make the postseason by winning the next two games.
With 8 wins in 12 games the Heat have also played well to close out the year, however their record of just 37 wins and 45 losses is a step back this year in what was a very turbulent season. The Jimmy Butler saga is still fresh in our minds, the Heat could just never fully recover from that and are now facing elimination in the first play-in tournament game.
Chicago Bulls Stats & Form
On the final day of the regular season the Bulls played a mixed line-up in Philadelphia, but the still got the job done 122-102 to hand the Sixers their 58th loss of the season. Only one starter scored in double figures for Chicago and that was Kevin Huerter who had 18, including 5 threes in just 16 minutes played. Chicago got 10+ points from 4 other bench players in the win.
Miami Heat Stats & Form
Miami went into the final day of the season as a 8.5-point favorite against the Washington Wizards at home, but even that wasn’t enough as they fell by the final score of 119-118. Jaime Jaquez exploded for 41 points to lead the way scoring, while 4 other Heat rotation players added 10 or more points. The defensive approach will have to change for Wednesday’s game as the Bulls are a much more serious opponent than the Wizards are.
Chicago Bulls vs Miami Heat: Head-to-Head

Betting tip and prediction: Chicago Bulls vs Miami Heat (16.04.2025)
On paper the two teams might look evenly matched, but the Bulls and Heat play vastly different styles which could result in a tricky game for both sides. Chicago likes to run, they finished off the season with the highest pace numbers over the past 15 games, however with the game slowing down here it will be interesting to see how well they do in the half-court. These surroundings are likely to benefit the Miami Heat more as they are known for their feisty defense, plus it wouldn’t be the first time they had to rely on their defense to win games. One of the advantages the Heat have here will be in the rebounding department as Chicago finished the regular season ranking just 29th in opponent rebounds per game. Miami ranked 20 spots higher in the standings, allowing just 51.3 boards per game, with that number dropping to just 48.7 per game in their last 3 outings. Bam Adebayo will be tough to handle for Nikola Vucevic and co., he averaged 21 points per game in 3 meetings with the Bulls this season so you’d expect the Heat to go to him early and often here. Chicago might have the head-to-head numbers in their favor ahead of this game, but there is no denying that the experience factor is on Miami’s side. The Heat have proven they can win on the road, doing so in 4 of their last 5 away games. Let’s back the Heat to pull off the upset here.
