Indiana Pacers vs Brooklyn Nets: Current situation
With 3 wins in 4 games the Pacers have taken advantage of the Milwaukee Bucks struggles and have thus retained the 4th seed in the Eastern Conference. However, there is no room for relaxing as the Bucks are just 0.5 games back, plus they own the tie-breaker which means the Pacers have to finish with a better record to leap over them in the standings.
Brooklyn’s season has gone sideways a long time ago, with 23 wins and 46 losses they are only 13th in the Eastern Conference, currently tied with the Philadelphia 76ers. At this point of the season the tanking is in full effect, this recent run of just 2 wins in 10 games backs that up. Interestingly enough though, Brooklyn still has a positive ATS record in road games at 21-14-1 this season.
Indiana Pacers Stats & Form
The Pacers just capped off a mini 3-game road trip with a huge 132-130 OT win against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Tyrese Haliburton and Pascal Siakam both missed the game due to minor injuries, but despite that the Pacers won at Target Center as 7-point underdogs. Obi Toppin had 34 to lead all Pacers scorers, while 7 others scored in double figures.
Brooklyn Nets Stats & Form
Unsurprisingly the Nets are coming off a loss at TD Garden on Tuesday night as the defending champions Celtics took them down 104-96. The good news is they were still able to cover the spread as 13.5 point underdogs, thanks to 18 points from D’Angelo Russell. Losing Cam Thomas has hurt this team on so many levels offensively, they could struggle to keep up with the Pacers on Thursday.
Indiana Pacers vs Brooklyn Nets: Head-to-Head
The two meetings this season have been split between the two teams, with both of them taking place in Brooklyn back in December and January. We will see the two teams battle on Thursday and Friday to wrap up their regular season series, those will be the 198th and 199th regular season meetings all time. Indiana holds a 113 to 84 edge in wins so far.

Betting tip and prediction: Indiana Pacers vs Brooklyn Nets (20.03.2025)
These two teams are in completely different situations coming into this 2-game battle against each other. The Pacers are in dire need of wins to keep hold of the 4th seed, while for the Nets it makes more sense to lose games at this point in order to improve their odds in the NBA Draft lottery. The regular season series is tied at 1-1, with the Nets winning the first meeting 99-90 back in early December. Indiana responded with a 14-point win in early January, that 2nd result carries a lot more weight as the Pacers had their entire team at their disposal, while the Nets were without Cam Thomas. A similar scenario should unfold in Thursday’s game, Haliburton and Siakam are both expected back after sitting out the game in Minnesota. Brooklyn’s defense has fallen off a cliff over the past 15 games – they rank just 22nd in efficiency, allowing 118.3 points per 100 possessions. Without Cam Thomas in the line-up they are averaging just 111.2 points per 100 possessions which is also in the bottom 10 of the NBA over the last 15 games. The high scoring Pacers have relied on the three-ball quite a lot this season to win games, in their last 2 games vs Milwaukee and Minnesota they knocked down 17 of them. With a healthy Haliburton who is averaging 19.3 points and 12 assists per game over his last 6 outings, they should be able to win both meetings vs the Nets here. As good as D’Angelo is on offense, the size of Haliburton will just be too much for him to handle defensively. We recommend backing Indiana to cover in Thursday’s meeting.
