Milwaukee Bucks vs Oklahoma City Thunder: Current situation
That 20-point win over the Lakers was a much needed one for Milwaukee as they continue their battle with the Indiana Pacers for the 4th seed in the East. The two teams are locked at 37 wins and 28 losses, coincidentally they play each other on Saturday night in Milwaukee with the regular season series on the line.
The OKC Thunder have no such worries as they’ve pretty much wrapped up the Western Conference top seed with a 11.5 game edge on the Denver Nuggets. This team is on pace to win 68 or so games, they are yet to lose double-digit games at home and on the road. Over their last 10 games they’ve won 8 of them, we do not expect them to slow down as MVP candidate SGA has to continue winning in order to boost his case over Nikola Jokic.
Milwaukee Bucks Stats & Form
With 4 players scoring 20+ points the Bucks were able to overcome the 45-point night by Luka Doncic as they took down the Lakers by 20 points at home. Rebound and ball movement were the two key factors that decided the game in the Bucks favor – Milwaukee won the battle on the boards by 10, while also dishing out 12 more assists than the Lakers.
Oklahoma City Thunder Stats & Form
Oklahoma City got 34 points from Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and 23 plus 15 rebounds from Chet Holmgren as they took down the defending champions Boston Celtics on Wednesday night. The win clinched the regular season series for OKC, sending a clear message to the rest of the league that they have arrived. Not having their 2nd best scorer Jalen Williams in that game is also a clear indicator that this team has matured compared to previous years where they would lose games in which one of their top 3 players couldn’t play.
Milwaukee Bucks vs Oklahoma City Thunder: Head-to-Head
The first meeting of the season was never in doubt for the Thunder who recorded a 125-96 blowout win. Milwaukee rested all of their top players in that game, hopefully that is not the case in Sunday’s affair. OKC is on a mini 2-game win streak in head-to-head meetings, the Bucks had won 6 in a row prior to that.
Milwaukee Bucks – Oklahoma City Thunder Odds
Odds of 7/4 are here to support a home win for the Bucks, while if you like SGA and his Thunder to win you can get odds of 8/13.
The point total has been set at 225.5 points, with odds of 10/11 supporting either the over or the under.

Betting tip and prediction: Milwaukee Bucks vs Oklahoma City Thunder (16.03.2025)
Both teams will be playing on Saturday night, so this will be a 2nd night of a back-to-back for each side. Fatigue shouldn’t be a factor in this case, however Oklahoma City has faired better in these type of games winning 9 of 14 of them. The Bucks have a losing record of 6-7 in game with no rest, so the odds are stacked against them here. One thing that the Bucks will have to overcome here is the elite defense around the perimeter by Oklahoma City. The Thunder are holding opponents to just 33.7% efficiency from downtown this season, on the road that number drops even further to 33.1%. Milwaukee ranks 2nd in efficiency this season from downtown, only to the Cleveland Cavaliers, however we have seen them struggle a bit whenever that shot isn’t falling for them. Chet Holmgren returning has been a major addition to an already elite starting five. He just had one of his better games this season against the Celtics, scoring 23 points and grabbing 15 rebounds. He might not have the physical strength to match Giannis Antetokounmpo down low, but Chet is more than capable to cause some serious issues down low as well as around the perimeter. Milwaukee has a similar issue that the Knicks have this season and that is they really struggle in games against the top teams from both Conferences. That cannot be a coincidence, so we are siding with the Thunder in Sunday’s game.
