Denver Nuggets vs Minnesota Timberwolves: Current situation
With everyone seemingly giving the MVP award to SGA after Denver’s lost to Oklahoma City on Sunday, Nikola Jokic responded with another video-game like box score in the re-match on Monday. The Joker went for 35 points, 18 rebounds and 8 assists, giving the Nuggets their 42nd win of the season which keeps them in 2nd place in the West standings. The Lakers losing 2 games in a row has given some breathing room to the Nuggets, but there is no room for complacency with just 17 games remaining.
Minnesota has slowly but surely put together a 5-game win streak, going under the radar a bit. They’re now just a half game back from the 6th seeded Warriors, with a decent chance of making the postseason without having to play in the play-in tournament. Rudy Gobert returned to the line-up following a long layoff, that’s been an extra boost for this team on both ends of the court. Anthony Edwards is averaging 25.8 points per game on over 50% shooting during the win streak.
Denver Nuggets Stats & Form
As a team the Nuggets shot an incredible 60% from the field in their 140-127 win over OKC on Monday, a stark contrast compared to Sunday’s game where they scored just 103 points on 41% shooting. They’ve now won 14 of 18 games and are 10-1 SU in 11 at home. Against Western Conference opponents, the Nuggets have 8 wins in 10 games as well.
Minnesota Timberwolves Stats & Form
Minnesota has been a reliable bet over the last 5 games, covering the spread 4 times. A somewhat softer schedule has allowed them to win 5 games in a row, they had 8 players score in double figures in their latest win over the San Antonio Spurs, led by Anthony Edwards who had an efficient 25 in just 30 minutes of play. The T’Wolves are finally at full strength with Gobert and Randle both back in the line-up.
Denver Nuggets vs Minnesota Timberwolves: Head-to-Head
Revenge will be on the minds of the Nuggets players here after they lost both meetings earlier in the season vs Minnesota. The T’Wolves are now 10-5 ATS in the last 15 meetings and have won 4 of 5 meetings while covering the spread in 5 of 7 visits to Ball Arena. Wednesday’s game will be the 148th regular season meeting all-time.
Denver Nuggets – Minnesota Timberwolves Odds
Backing Jokic and co. to end the losing streak vs Minnesota gets you 8/11 odds. If you like Anthony Edwards and his team to win here, you can get them at 11/8 odds.
The point total has been set at 225.5 points, with odds of 10/11 supporting either the over or the under.

Betting tip and prediction: Denver Nuggets vs Minnesota Timberwolves (12.03.2025)
Momentum is certainly on Minnesota’s side here with them winning 5 games in a row, however the Nuggets will have something to say as well after winning a 3rd game in 4 outings. We should also not underestimate the motivating factor here as the Nuggets look to get revenge against the team that eliminated them in the postseason last year. Circumstances have cause Denver to lose the first two meetings this season, but we are confident things will go their way in Wednesday’s clash. Nikola Jokic appears to be fine after bumping his elbow in Sunday’s game vs Oklahoma City. His match-up against Rudy Gobert is crucial here, we’ve seen the Serbian have the upper hand in previous meetings. Denver is also hoping to get Aaron Gordon back from injury, he played only 7 minutes against OKC on Sunday before exiting the game due to a calf issue. Having an extra body that can be thrown at the likes of Julius Randle and/or Naz Reid would do wonders for the defense of the Nuggets here, but even if they don’t have Gordon we still fancy their chances. They’ve been a consistent 22-9 SU in home games this season, losing only once in 11 games at Ball Arena. Jamal Murray is also playing at an elite level, he and Ant Man will cancel each other out here, but the Timberwolves won’t have an answer for Joker. Let’s back the Nuggets to cover at home.
