Denver Nuggets vs Phoenix Suns: Current situation
After a somewhat unsuccessful East coast road trip where they went 2-2, the Nuggets returned home in style by beating the Sacramento Kings 116-110. Nikola Jokic’s MVP case is still very much alive, however the Nuggets slipping 3rd in the standings won’t do him any favors. The 3-time MVP is still putting up big numbers though, at this stage of his career he won’t be too bothered if he doesn’t win the award as long as he enters the postseason healthy.
Just when we thought all hope was lost for the Phoenix Suns to make the play-in tournament, the situation has once again turned around. The injury to Kyrie Irving is a devastating blow to the 10th seeded Mavericks, Phoenix now has a chance to catch them with 20 games remaining. The lead is currently at just 2.5 games, as long as they can stay healthy you have to like the Suns’ chances to get into the play-in tournament here.
Denver Nuggets Stats & Form
The Nuggets overcame 35 points from DeMar DeRozan in their latest win over the Sacramento Kings. Russell Westbrook turned back the clock with 25 points and 4 threes made, while Nikola Jokic added 22 and 15 rebounds. It was the Nuggets’ 12th win in 15 games, they are one of the most reliable home teams in the league with 21 wins in 30 games at Ball Arena.
Phoenix Suns Stats & Form
Despite getting exposed in the paint by Ivica Zubac who had a career high 35 points against them, the Suns mounted one of the biggest comebacks of the season in their 119-117 win over the Clippers. Kevin Durant was the star of the show with 34 points, but he also got a lot of help from 5 other Suns players who scored in double figures. It was the Suns’ 4th win in 15 games, but their fans are hoping it can spark a bit of a run in the coming days and weeks.
Denver Nuggets vs Phoenix Suns: Head-to-Head

Betting tip and prediction: Denver Nuggets vs Phoenix Suns (07.03.2025)
Pressure is on the Phoenix Suns to go on a run with the 10th seeded Dallas Mavericks getting decimated with injuries. The Suns are 2.5 games back in the standings with 20 games left in the season, most analysts are giving them a solid chance to sneak into the play-in tournament. They just won their 2nd game in 3 outings, after a massive comeback against the Clippers where they were down by as many as 23 points. Kevin Durant is still healthy and putting up numbers, he had 34 in that win including some clutch baskets down the stretch. He won’t be able to do it all by himself though, Devin Booker needs to step up here and score more than the 17 points he had in the win over LA. Booker is averaging 23.4 points per game in the last 5 meetings, so there is a chance he might go off here. Meanwhile, the Nuggets haven’t exactly been at their best over the past 5 games exchanging wins and losses. Coming back home will be a big boost for them, especially if Aaron Gordon returns to the line-up. The Nuggets are 9-1 SU in their last 10 home games and 6-1 SU in their last 7 overall vs West teams. However, we are worried by their lack of success in covering the spread. Bettors have yielded profit just twice when betting on Denver in their last 7 games. With all the pressure on the Suns here, they have no choice but to play their hearts out and as a result we believe this will be a close game. If that’s the case then it makes more sense to back the road team plus the spread.
