Slot rages: ‘You give them everything for fucking free, I blame you!’

Arne,Slot,,Head,Coach,Of,Liverpool,Fc,During,The,UefaArne Slot is currently serving a suspension after receiving a red card at the end of the city derby between Everton and Liverpool (2-2). The Dutch trainer was given a two-game suspension after allegedly insulting referee Michael Oliver. The Mirror knows exactly what Slot is alleged to have said to the referee.

Liverpool seemed to be heading for a 1-2 win against city rivals Everton, until James Tarkowski scored the equaliser with a beautiful volley in the last minute. Goodison Park exploded, but so did Slot and assistant Sipke Hulshoff. They walked up to Oliver after the final whistle and apparently got into an argument in the wrong way. Both Dutchmen were shown a red card for this. What exactly was said in the conversation is not yet clear.

The Mirror has obtained the reason for Slot’s punishment, which states exactly what the Liverpool coach is alleged to have said. According to the newspaper, the Dutchman walked up to Oliver after the game, shook his hand and said that the referee had given Everton ‘everything for fucking free’. He also allegedly said that he hoped Oliver was ‘proud of his performance’.

After Slot walked away from the referee, he addressed Oliver again about a minute later, shaking the referee’s hand again. ‘If we don’t become champions, I’ll fucking blame you for it,’ the Dutchman is alleged to have said the second time. He then turned to the assistant referee, shouting at him twice that it was a ‘fucking shame’.

Slot comes up with a different explanation

Slot claimed that things were different. According to the trainer, he said the following to Oliver: ‘If we don’t become champions, I’ll have you to thank for it.’ Slot did not deny the outburst directed at the assistant referee, but he insisted that the insults were not intended as a personal attack. However, the FA stuck to Oliver’s statement and suspended Slot for two matches. The first of these was at home against Newcastle, which the league leaders won: 2-0.
