Watford welcome Manchester United to Vicarage Road on Tuesday night in what promises to be an exciting game between two high flying teams. Watford have been the surprise package of this season under the management of Marco Silva and The Hornets find themselves in the lofty heights of 8th place at the moment. Manchester United, meanwhile, are in 2nd place, eight points behind leaders and local rivals, Manchester United. Just eight points currently separate these two sides and two top class Portuguese managers will battle it out on Tuesday evening.

Watford
Watford picked up a comfortable 3-0 win against Newcastle United on Saturday to back up their 2-0 victory against West Ham United before that. Those victories came on the back of three defeats on the spin and Marco Silva will have been delighted with his sides ability to turn their form around. Silva has a number of injury problems heading into the game with Nathaniel Chalobah, Craig Cathcart, Younes Kaboul and Isaac Success all injured along with Troy Deeney who is suspended.
Manchester United
Manchester United were fairly poor against Brighton & Hove Albion at the weekend, scraping a 1-0 win thanks to a Lewis Dunk own goal. Jose Mourinho will have been delighted to have won the game, but will be slightly concerned that his side have turned in some underwhelming performances in the past few weeks. Michael Carrick remains side-lined after having a heart operation in September and Phil Jones is also likely to miss out again with a thigh injury, but other than that, Mourinho has a fully fit squad to pick from. He could shuffle his pack on Tuesday and the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Marcos Rojo could be in line for starts after recovering from injury.
Talking Points
1. With nine Premier League (PL) clean sheets, David De Gea (United) is statistically the best goalkeeper in the league.
2. Manchester United have struggled away from home this season, winning just 2 of their 6 matches and scoring just once in their last 3 away trips.
3. Meanwhile, Watford have also struggled at home, winning just 2 of their 6 matches and scoring only 7 goals at Vicarage Road.
Prediction
I think we could be in for a tight game on Tuesday between two teams who have been in good form of late. Fatigue could be a factor for Manchester United having played four games in two weeks and therefore I think Mourinho will shuffle his pack. I’m backing a draw in this one and I think we could be in for an exciting game which could end 2-2.
Betting Tips (Ladbrokes)
Manchester United start this game as favourites at odds of 4/6, whilst a home win for Watford is priced up at 9/2, with the draw available at 3/1. I think the draw could well be likely in this game between two teams who are in decent form right now, so that 3/1 looks tempting to me. In terms of goal scorers, I fancy Zlatan Ibrahimovic to start this game and the 20/21 available on him to score at anytime looks a good bet to me.
