2019 US Open Golf Preview
The 2019 US Open will be played at Pebble Beach Golf Links in Pebble Beach, California between the 13th and 16th June. This is the third of the four major golf tournaments of the year on the PGA and European Tour.
This will be the sixth time the US Open has been played at Pebble Beach and for some of the players, they will be contesting their third US Open at this venue. The previous tournaments were played in 2000 and 2010, with Tiger Woods and Graeme McDowell coming out on top.
Who will walk away as the 2019 US Open Champion?
The Defending Champion
Brooks Koepka will begin the 2019 US Open as the defending champion. He is the only man to win this event in the past two years and will be aiming to emulate Willie Anderson by winning three US Open titles in succession. The fact this was last done back in 1905 tells you what a marvellous achievement it would be.
Koepka did not play great at the RBC Canadian Open last week but has his mind fully focused on the majors. He won the PGA Championship recently at Bethpage Black and when he is on top form, has the ability to blow the rest of the field away.

Joint Favourites
Joining Koepka at the top of the betting are Dustin Johnson and Rory McIlroy. Johnson has a good record when playing at Pebble Beach. His game suits the golf course and he has won two events at the venue plus has ten top 10 finishes in his last 13 starts at Pebble Beach.
Johnson is in decent form and if he can keep his game under control in the final round, has a great chance of winning. Johnson is on offer at 8/1 with Ladbrokes to win the 2019 US Open.
McIlroy produced a fantastic final round to win in Canada last week. That result will give him plenty of confidence going into this event but his record at Pebble Beach is poor. McIlroy has missed the cut in his last two appearances on this course and no player has ever won the US Open following a victory the week before.
McIlroy is available at 8/1 with William Hill to win the 2019 US Open.
The Outsider
Brandt Snedeker has two wins to his name at Pebble Beach in his career. He won the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am in 2013 and 2015 and will be feeling good about playing at this venue. The last time the US Open was played on this course he finished T8 and Snedeker has five top 10 finishes at the US Open in his career.
He finished T4 at the RBC Canadian Open last week and you can back Snedeker as an outsider to win the 2019 US Open at 50/1 with William Hill.
